Soprano Jennifer Foster has sung opera, oratorio, recitals and chamber music with world class musicians and conductors throughout the United States and Europe. Her many credits include lead and comprimario roles with the Los Angeles Opera, a national tour with San Francisco Opera’s Western Opera Theater, performances with the Los Angeles Philharmonic conducted by Esa-Pekka Salonen at the Hollywood Bowl and a duet with Bobby McFerrin at the Verbier Festival in Switzerland. Equally at home in musical theatre, she is a member of Actors’ Equity.

She has appeared as soloist with Central Florida Master Choir, The New World Symphony, Stamford Symphony, New Haven Symphony, Macon Symphony, Los Angeles Mozart Orchestra, Boston Cantata Singers, Pacific Chorale, and San Francisco Choral Society, among many other regional orchestras and choral groups, and has been featured at the Tanglewood, Santa Fe, Cabrillo, Tucson, Hot Springs, and Aspen Music Festivals. She has been honored with awards from the Metropolitan Opera National Council Western and Southeastern regions, the Center for Contemporary Opera in New York and the Long Beach Mozart Festival among others.

She served as soloist for The First Church of Christ, Scientist (The Mother Church) in Boston from 1997 to 2004. Her CDs include Jubal-ation and Choose God produced by the Christian Science Publishing Society, Debut: Chamber Works with Voice - live performances collected from her many appearances at the Tucson Winter Chamber Music Festival, Naxos label’s compilation of works by Creole composer Edmond Dédé, and recordings by the Connecticut Composers, Inc. that feature her performance of songs by Allen Brings and jazz icon Dave Brubeck. She is currently in development on new recording projects. 

Jennifer earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Chapman University in California and an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts (with a Performance Creation Concentration) from Goddard College.

An avid teaching artist, she has been a guest professor at several universities and joined the faculty at Fairfield University in Connecticut, providing voice and text coaching to the casts of Shakespeare’s Titus Andronicus and Kate Hamill’s ground breaking Pride and Prejudice. She regularly leads master classes and workshops for singers and actors of all levels and gives private voice lessons as well as coaching for public speakers, pastors, spoken word artists, and podcasters both in her Ocala studio and via phone or online.
